The second of two welcoming socials that open the 2026–2027 program year, serving the western hub — RIT, the University of Rochester, and the University at Buffalo.
Running the opening social twice, once per hub, is deliberate: Upstate New York is too large for a single social to serve everyone.

The venue is 1140 Institute Hall on the RIT campus in Rochester.

New students, postdocs, and anyone who has recently arrived in the region are especially welcome. You do not need to be a member to attend.
